    Hi Daz

Here's a doctor who it seems took the opposite view to Dr. Arthur Conan Doyle, that people who believe in apparitions or paranormal phenomenon are deceiving themselves.

Review of a book by Dr. Harold Dearden in the British Medical Journal, June 27, 1936. The book is interesting in that it appears to give Dr. Dearden's views on eyewitnesses to certain phenomena. The case of Spring-Heeled Jack's reported appearance in Everton comes to mind, for example.

Thanks Chris, the year of the article is dated 1936 - the year Agatha Christie sets Hercule Poirot in [tv's 'Death in the Nile', at least]. I don't think he'd be taken in by paranormal activity either?

Alas I cannot prove or disprove the video. as I say unless you see the whole video people should not be so judgemental. I dont consider my daughter or friends to be liars After all they were 15 year old girls at the time.. I am not a liar either. Everyone to their own opinions I suppose. Thats what makes the world go round. I was going to post some spooky pics that I have taken on investigations, but I have decided against it now. . I will just keep them for like minded people on paranormal forums. An open invitation to anyone who doesnt believe, join our para group and come along on an investigation, then give me your opinion. .

I think that there are many sides to a ghost sighting

    a, You just believe
    b, You don't believe
c, You believe when you've seen something in person

I believe that there are ghosts as I have seen my nan and my aunty has seen my late dad. No reason to make anything up. No drugs involved, no stressful times of our lives. Just there one second and not the next.

However, I do believe that there are many situations in which a ghost will appear.

A, the person is more suseptable (sic?) to changes in temperature or has a strange feeling
B, the person may have a slight slant towards believing.

I do believe that video and pictures have done nothing FOR ghost sightings, if anything they have created many hoaxes and muddied the water of what may be truth or fiction.

Dogs go mad if they are near 'ghosts' and will chew their own leg off to get away from a situation like that - what do they have that we don't?

There was also something I read years ago when that scientists altered the frequency in a room to a certain level, it distorted something enough in the sensory part of the brain to start forming images in front of your eyes (just shapes).

Lastly - if you don't believe then you won't and we respect that. If you do and you've seen something then it's amazing to know that there has to be something after death - it doesn't prove an afterlife it just suggests that their energy cannot be removed.

I've no book to sell, no pictures to publish yet I've seen my nan and that did it for me.

My daughter and I have just been talking about the night we were driving home from Blackpool , it was last year .. We had been to see the Illuminations , Driving back home on the motoraway all of us seen this :

A man and woman on the other side of the motorway , they looked like they had ran out of a field , the woman was wearing white panties and a bra, she ran across the motorway and ducked down on the central reservation ...The man appeared dressed , the woman ran in front of our car and stopped on the other side , then she ran back over the other sode of the motorway , the man was running after her !!

All of us , me and my two daughters were silent for about 30 seconds , before we all said WTH was that ! We pulled over and gave this exact descrpition to the police , the police rang us to say there had been no reported sightings of anyone , they even deployed the helicopter in case it was a rape or murder ! Nothing was seen of found !

I dont believe everything I see or hear, in fact I take the scientific approach and try to debunk things first, looking for a rational answer. On quite a few occasions there have been rational answers, but their are some where their is no ordinary explanation.

Cadfael, It is most probably the Electro Magnetic Field, that the scientists have altered, High readings of EMFs can lead to nausea, hallucinations, headaches, dizziness etc. You find high EMF readings near a strong electric source, but when there is an onset of a sudden EMF reading,( taking into account there are no electrics around,) this can as some people believe, the start of a manifestation of spirit.

One overwhelming observation was noted - the sightings reflected the technology and culture of the day. ie: sightings in the 1920's UFO's were shaped like Zeppelin airships, the 60's more like flying saucers [image below], and today, similar to stealth fighter bombers. Full article here.

I repeat my claim, that some people will believe anything, absolutely anything.
The Wirral seems to be the place to see these "objects" whatever they might be! It's been orange orbs, lately!
