I just found this photo of the 1957-58 Class 4.
Do you recognize yourself or friends and neighbors...
If you need help with names...
I have a few more if there is any interest.

Some ugly kids on that dude.
The signatures are as interesting as the photos. They remind me of how I was taught to write. The strange way of writing a capital L, I, T, S, F. Also the Ds are odd but I don't remember being taught that way. My mum does Ds like that though.
I don't think kids write like that now do they? Is that what was called cursive?
You can see the teacher did his capitals different to the kids. His A is different.
Ha, we were taught like that too. When did it all change? Our handwriting had to be near perfect else you got 100 lines.
I had to write some stuff for an Army exam once. I used a typewriter I got in Hong Kong that typed perfect cursive text. I got extra marks for my neat handwriting. Didn't have the heart to tell them it was a typewriter.
Another one, slightly earlier.
...and names...
I guess all of the kids writing on the previous picture was too good for any of them to become doctors.... This one seems to be completed by a single person, and less cursive.
I also see that the school uniform code was not really being enforced - perhaps because of the recovery from the war? Rationing only finished at around this time IIRC.
Very fine, az_gila! I don't recognize anyone or the names either, but these old school photographs are wonderful to see, along with the signatures of the children. Excellent.
Yes certainly post more if you have more photographs. They are appreciated!

Nice one az_gila.
I am still looking for anyone that went to St Josephs (Kirkby) in 1977 as I have some really good footage of the school and the pupils.
Keeping it real!

Is this St Michaels of West Derby Road? The wife went there, but in the mid sixties.
She'd love a photo of the school itself if you have any?
