Missing from Times Square today is what I first knew about it in the Fifties, when one of the ads was a Camels cigarettes advertisement that blew real smoke rings. I have learned that the sign was a Times Square landmark from December 1941 to 1966.

The other famous thing about Times Square is the iconic image of VJ Day, 1945 of the sailor kissing the girl.
