Hi Maggie! I would be interested to know if you worked there at the same time as Matron Olive Howell? who was previously matron of the Liverpool Radium Institute when I was there prior to 1963. I remember visiting Matron Howell at Heswall just before I left for NZ Sept 63. Cheers

Sorry for the late reply....that name doesnt ring a bell I'm afraid....Matrons had just been phased out when I started my training in 1976....they were replaced by Nursing Officers..maybe she retired..
