Ciao Debz.. Ms. Zapps:

I took your advice , while in Liverpool, (found by accident)..Piccolinos... My mate, Robbo and I, had two children with us.. and looking for a place at night to have a drink and chat was difficult.. So, a nice man at Blakes, told us to go around the corner and there it was" PICCOLINOS.".and they allowed children ...

The next day, I went for a classic italian..pasta and salad and vino... I had just come back from Sicily.. and felt right back at home..

Prego for the advice on going there... One thing missing......Cannoli's. great food, atmosphere, and priced quite respectfully... ciao naked lilac.. ps.. went about 3 times after that...

Gerry those lovely ice cream parlours are few and far between in Liverpool, but there is a nice cafe in Bold Street next door to The Italian club that sells Cheshire ices and they are to die for, buon appetito

I've heard there's a short film called 'Shadow Boxing' by Andrew Smith featuring Dom Volantes upbringing, fights etc.
love to see it as he was a friend of my great grandfather

Debz met with councillor Flo Clucas at the Municipal Buildings today to present Flo with the book "Liverpool's Italian Families" which Flo and Nunzia Bertali will be presenting to the Italian parliament later next week.
