Buffalo Bill did indeed bring his Wild West show to Liverpool, twice: Newsham Park July 5 – 18, 1891; and Edge Lane Exhibition Site from May 4 – 23 1903.

The ghost story sounds like Biffalo Bull to me, though.

I also heard that the Buffalo Bill wild west show was staged at Love Lane near the railway from Exchange station.
