    Children at play in the Vauxhall area in 1965. Unseen, except in family "snaps", but a reminder of pre WII days!

    The thumbnails are the most convenient way for me to post and as Philip G. says, you can enlarge them.

    You take them for granted - until one day they're gone!

    More "snaps" from the Vauxhall area in 1965, this time in pubs, unfortunately no details of which.

    Plenty of pubs;

    The Vines, Lime Street, from the top of Lewis's
    The Spanish House Hotel, Whitechapel (no veg boxes!)
    Yates's Wine Lodge, Lime Street
    Unknown pub on Athol Street, Vauxhall
    Another unknown pub, but so typical.

    You sat on barrels in the Spanish House.
    (Or the tables were barrels).

    The last one is the Alexandra in North Hill Street.
    Here's how it was in April.

    Great pic's, but sadly,the Angel's now closed,and Gregsons Well is being demolished,but the Baltic's still going strong(I think,it's a while since i've been there, though!)

    Thanks, Ged. I get all this stuff from decades of scrounging/collecting and photographing everything that I thought might go.

    Tonights offering;
    The first two I think are Everton, somewhere
    The last three are South Liverpool.
    Any location details would be much appreciated
    All mid 1960's, but no details on back!!!

    The Everton pics were taken around the St Georges Hill area...near/within stones throw of the old Everton Lock-up...thats my guestimation anyway!

    Not an idea about the South Liverpool images...Get the impression that the Tesco image may be along Aigburth Road...but again that is just a guess I am afraid!

    Great set of images as always!

    Sirob, if you tell us the names of the other shops by Tesco, I'll check my 1968 Kellys.
