The bottom of William Brown st.

Looking down past the Walker Art Gallery.

A horse drawn carriage at the traffic lights on Commutation Row.

Picton Library 'gasometer' - Lfc came out here during their civic receptions in 1974 and 77.

I took this to remind me of the 'ravine' we used to jump across as kids - from the rooftop to the grass on the right. Seemed like the grand canyon when you're 12 - I could do it well easier now

I had them wait for me whilst I strolled around..........
What was the technical college around the corner into Byrom st.
Statue over there?
Looking towards my old gaff. Very 1930s art deco this area with the Mersey tunnel entrance buildings, Blackburn Assurance and The Ship & Mitre pub. On the corner of trueman is one of the finest examples of a Georgian Merchant house and so says the blue plaque. The Higsons building lets the place down though - ah well.
