Thanks for the title of that book Ged.
Sirob great photos mate. It,s nice to see some "other" photos of Liverpool instead of the usual ones, not that there is anything wrong with the photos or the photographers posted on here, but a change is as good as a change....![]()
Thanks so much for these historic (and unique) views of Liverpool.
I'd like to thank Sirob (K G Rose) for giving me permission to put his photos in 'Old Liverpool', where they will be together in one set, as well as in the daily posts.
See link below.
Brilliant yet again Sirob.
I'd like to expand on what Shielsy and Chippie have said. This is the best forum by far for photographs of long lost scenes with thanks to the great members on here including of course the latest influx.
With your ace feedback, I've just time to post some more;
Rice Lane, from Dunlops, looking towards the hozzy, 1971
Corpy yard, St. Domingo Road, from flats, August 1970
Hawthorne Road Bridge, from Kirkdale Carriage sidings, May 1970
From Hawthorne Road Bridge, ugly sisters on the skyline, May 1970
Walton Junction, towards Kirkdale, hozzy water tank, chimney to left, March 1974
Sirob I have really enjoyed looking at your images from 70's Liverpool...County Road in particular is one of my favorite part's of the city and it's great to see it back from "back then" as it were!
I was wondering if you had/have any images of Birkenhead or know of anyone who does??? Wirral's archive service is practically nonexistent after part of Birkenhead Library fell in the other month!
Keep up the good work!

Apologies for the durge in updates!
Love your pictures sirob, are these pictures you took yourself at the time or were they taken by your parents, where they part of a project? and how come you had the hindsight to take such pictures, these really are a great set of pics as the majority of them depict the areas where I grew up, cant wait for the next set. THANKS SIROB
