maybe I've got my technique right and dont know exactly what the magic formula is..
if there is any.
Something works.. and I dont want to know what in case I try and change it..
I'll just plod on pointing and clicking...

As you say, don't try to change anything .. you don't need to tweak any technique if it is already working for you as it clearly is.
