Philip G, yes I did get the Victoria and a look inside, but there is nothing to suggest that it ever was a cinema! I was going to walk through the "tunnel", but having attracted the attention of a group of lads, decided to escape. Do you need a minder?

I see it's now unique furniture. Wasn't it called Regal a couple of years back as my mate worked there, they also have a branch in Walton rd.

The cinema screen at the Philharmonic Hall rises out of the stage and is the last working example of this type, in the world.(x3)

Entrance floor of the Bedford Cinema. This originally said "Bedford", but when Abram & Mitchell bought the building, they replaced it with this.

Any location details would be much appreciated
All mid 1960's, but no details on back!!!
Hello Sirob. The first two pictures of Everton streets. I think the first one could be St Georges St. Leading up from Netherfield Rd to half way up St Georges Hill.

The second picture is in the same area, maybe Mountjoy Street. The flats in the background I think are the Braddicks, now pulled down and built upon.

    Cheers Samp.

Goodness me, Sirob I remember that public toilet at the bottom of Rupert Lane. It was like a big sheet of slate or metal of a dark colour. I used it quite often. No Philip, keep it clean now!!!!!

Sirob, you say the film is faded, but all hope is not lost....this is my corrected version of your most recent Black 5 photo, even working from your posted version the improvement is dramatic, and I'm no Photoshop expert. Given access to the original slides / prints or negs, a professional could probably pull a surprising amount of detail back from the murk. Hang on to the originals!
