In the latest, April 2013, issue of Ripperologist magazine, No. 131, we covered preservation efforts to save the canopy at Aigburth Station. Jack the Ripper suspect James Maybrick, a resident of Battlecrease mansion on Riversdale Road, was a commuter who would have used the station on a regular basis. Maybrick, a cotton merchant, would have caught the train from Aigburth Station to Central Station to go to his downtown office.

Here's a new webpage on Maybrick that I have just found and that gives a rundown of his life and his demise after allegedly killing prostitutes in the East End of London: "A Virginia Club member who will live in infamy."
