    Waterloo Dock



    Toxteth Dock 1980 (how did these things work?)



    Somewhere along the Dock Road (?)



    St. George's Plateau. Pepper's pub is on the left.





    Off Nelson Street. The Nook pub is on the right.

    Fantastic Pictures.

    Did you know that the bells at the RC Cathedral weren't working for many years and it was only until the Pope was due to come to Liverpool that they spent a hell of a lot on them to get them working again.

    Although they are chain driven and make a hell of a racket, there's about 7 ton of metal up there!

    hells bells, , never knew we had a leyland popemobile in the northwest, wonder how many times its been used since

    Interesting pic's Knowhowe! I'm not sure which dock that is in no'3, but the larger boat, looks like the clubship Landfall, an old converted ww2 landing craft used for many years(off and on) as a night club(?) restaurant.

    The Popemobile is in the Leyland Museum, aptly in Leyland, Lancashire.

    I stood all day on Brodie Avenue, luckily enough in the shade of the trees to see him drive past..
