Default Views of the Anglican Cathedral 1

The Anglican Cathedral from Toxteth Dock 1981. Taken on my trusty old Pentax K-1000 with a great heavy 200mm telephoto lens.
With the exception of Jesse Hartley's hydraulic tower on the left, the sheds and dock basin in the foreground have long since disappeared under a car park since the photograph was taken.

The view from just down the road in 2006. The Baltic Fleet is in the middle ground.

You may find that the sheds are in Queens/Coburg Dock and now demolished and the quays are still there with water up against them.

Toxteth Dock sheds are still there, although the dock was filled in and made into a parking area - how clever.

Deprived of its unique dockland waters Liverpool
becomes a Venice without canals, just another city, no
longer of special interest to anyone, least of all the
tourist. Would we visit a modernised Venice of filled in
canals to view its modern museum describing
    how it once was?
