The Piggeries, officially called Crosbie, Canterbury and Haigh Heights were on William Henry Street (north side) and pics of them and the Braddocks which were on Netherfield Road (west side) near Conway street can be found on the high rise page of my website below.
.
Thanks Johnmed. I notice you're only in Aigburth so if it's at all possible to get down to the Liverpool records office there are loads of old photographs of them and also in Harry Ainscoughs Liverpool book. You can copy anything you want there as long as it's only for your own private use. If it's for anything else you need to negotiate with them.

Might do, I'm off all this week with chest infection, so may go and cough a lot at the LRO.
Cheers Ged.
Just looking at some of the stuff on the internet - amazes me how much I can find out about where I used to live nearly 40 years ago. Only thing I can't find is the name of the pub at the bottom of Haigh Heights (a bass house I think) - remember sitting out on the verandah of Haigh Heights in the long hot summer of 76 listening to Candy Staton singing Young Hearts Run Free, again and again and again. Had a couple of bevvies there but not many as I was on the dole. Found a job out of town and ended up in Australia. Never did get back. So who remembers the name of that bloody pub?
Was it the Clock on Salisbury Street or the white curved one, was it the Westbourne on the corner of vWestbourne st?
It was the Bents opposite Dillons newsagents... (It was known as 'The Bents' )
it was my local on a Sunday afternoon... in1975/76
Anybody know the name... and who ran the pub ?
