Found it very difficult to choose one particular event but decided on the construction of St. Georges's Hall.
Would also like to go back to the days when I could have a night out without worrying about drunken yobs, money, kids, etc.
Or being able to buy 8 Walkers Toffees for a penny.
Or being able to afford to go to the match, pictures, pub, etc.
Better stop or this list could become endless!!!
Hmm,either...the 1930s to ride on a Green Goddess,see those seven miles of docks crawling with action and the Pier Head with a trans-atlantic liner tied up,wander through all those sadly-departed department stores in their hey-day,and see a film or three in those wonderful and equally departed super-cinemas...or the 1500s to see when the town was only seven streets and the castle,and all around was fields and moors.
