    Default Williamson tunnels

Sorry if this has been mentioned before but saw this on another site and hadn't heard of this before in the Edge Lane area of Liverpool there is a section of sewer works where they do underground drain tours?

To the world you might be one person, but to one person you might be the world.

The williamson tunnels are a set of tunnels dating back to at least the 1800's (they were open quarry's before that).

The full story can be found at www.williamsontunnels.com and the Heritage Centre can be found at www.williamsontunnels.co.uk

The area is Edge Hill but they're not sewer works or drains, merely tunnels built for no apparent reason!
