Corinto Close and Bluefields Street (toxteth)- after ports in Nicaragua



Sandino Close (Toxteth)- after August Cesar Sandino 1920s guerilla leader, after whom the Nicaraguan Sandanista rebels took their name

Callaghan Close (Vauxhall) - after Labours last Primeminister at the time

James Larkin Way and O'Connell Road (Kirkdale) - after irish nationalists

Sharpville Close (Kirkdale) - after the Sharpeville Massacre

Tom Mann Close (Vauxhall) - after the co founder of the Workers union, forerunner of the TGWU

Tolpuddle Way (Kirkdale) - after the Tolpuddle Martyrs, 6 farm workers who were sentenced to TRansportation in 1834 for asking for a pay rise.
