    Default 7 Eslington Street Garston

Could anyone confirm that no 7 Eslington Street still stands and was not demolished for roadworks, Harve,

    Yes, it still stands.
Only numbers 1, 2 and 4 were demolished.
Lord knows why, because I stood on a large grass verge to take the second photo.

    Hi Philip
This was the house my great Grandmother died in (1938) what was your interest in taking pics, This is really great to have them so quickly as we are at a bit of a stalemate right now, you woulnt happen to have any pics of 4 Bennett street as this is where her daughter Lottie lived with her husband Arthur
Jones, what year were the front houses demolished Best wishes Harvey Joyce

I noticed you lived in London, and I had to go to go to Garston today, anyway.

All I want is to find a similar site for Oxfordshire, so somebody could take a photo of the old family home on my father's side.

I should be able to get to Bennett Street in a few day's time.

Any mention of Garston and I take notice! Re Arthur Jones, my wife had a uncle of this name who also lived in Garston, but not Bennett Street! guess the name Jones was quite popular in Garston. Best of Luck with your search

    You'll like this, then, Norm.
A flickrsite just for Garston, with loads of pics from our own Kev (and a few from me).
