Sadly, it's not looked like this for nearly a year now.
Something's gone wrong with the pumps that were supposed toraise the water
from the newly established bore-hole. And now the money's run out!
These pics were only taken a 10 days ago.

All great pictures Joe especially the 1st two in the 1st post.
Stunning colours.
Is the ring road still a mess at the Prices Park end?
I heard there was a dispute over who maintains it, so no-one is...
The whole of the inner Road at Sefton Park is unadopted , a-_g
The city council recently proposed to levy Parking charges inside the Park in order to fund the upkeep of the Road ,but it met with fierce opposition, and quite rightly so. It has now relented and announced it will borrow the money required to resurface the Roadway, and then bring it in under council control so as it can receive future Maintenance under the relevant council budget, not that there is enough money in that budget to maintain the existing Council controlled city Roadways
Love the photo's greg's dad, Sefton Park was my playground when I was a child, thank's for posting and thank's for the memories.
Thanks for the great photo's.... Nice to see Sevvie park looking so good
Is the weak bridge when you turn left off Princes Park gates still closed?
If so, it's a pity since it breaks the ring road.
Thank you ,Gregs dad , when we 1st married we were in digs in Sth Albert Rd & we spent a lot of time in the park ,plus I had an allotment too , & how marvellous to see the Palm House looking so beautiful .. I recall going in there with my dad,a keen gardener & he nipped a sprig off a 'wandering Jew ' (a plant !) & guiltily secreted it in a match box , to propagate it at home . Beautiful pics Gregs dad . That picture of the bandstand.
I can hear the strains of "A Carnival in Venice" as played by a visiting colliery band.
Those summer evenings never seemed to end.
