Default Liverpool Culture Cafe meets a Dragon!

Just want to state that I have asked the owners of this site if I could post the following:

    Hey,

I have just found out about this website and wanted to tell you all about www.liverpoolculturecafe.com

We are looking for 25,000 people from around the World who will make a promise to the future of Liverpool by pledging £20.

Your pledge will fund the development of the Liverpool Culture Cafe - a platform for new and emerging talents and cultural enrichment designed to inform guests about the cultures found throughout Liverpool using it's menu and arts.

At the heart of this project is the desire to bring training and employment to 12 unemployed young adults as we seek to offer hope and opportunity across Liverpool.

The profit from this social enterprise will be used to support the growing talents of the area, continually investing into Liverpool and its future.

Will you join many others and play an exciting role in this audacious, people-led Capital of Culture project?

The cafe itself will be developed by those 25,000 supporters online via a social networking site which we will launch.

After only recently launching we have a few hundred people who have registered their pledge, we have a local business man who has offered support of £25,000 and we are also in the semi finals of a national competition.

Please consider registering your pledge for free at www.liverpoolculturecafe.com. If you are on the social networking site bebo could you please also add us on: www.bebo.com/MarkB1805 which will help with the competition below.

Liverpool Culture Cafe is being pitched to a Dragon!

The Liverpool Culture Cafe has got through to the semi-finals of a competition, for Social Enterprise day on the 15th of November, the prize, for one lucky winner, will be an award of £5000 plus high profile media exposure.

Next week Mark will be traveling to London in order to make a pitch to Peter Jones of Dragon's Den fame, Time Campbell who was Alan Sugar's The Apprentice winner and Emily Eavis the daughter of Glastonbury Festival owner, Michael Eavis. Mark has just sixty seconds to present this pitch which will be filmed, the judging panel will then select four of the social enterprise concepts to go through to the final round. The final will consist of the filmed pitch being put on to the social networking website Bebo and the audience voting for who they believe should win...

This is exciting times for the Liverpool Culture Cafe and it is positive to think that we have got through to the semi-finals because there is a bunch of people out their who believe in what we are trying to do!
