    It'll look mad without them there,i'm not a big fan of highrises though so I'll be glad to see the back of them.

    Me too.Although I did have fun there as a kid.Going to the top floor and getting chased by the cocky watchman.Ahh,those were the days

    We used to play in the flats in Storrington Avenue John,that's where I live in that picture ,that's my road.

    Thanks for the pics John.

    I'm actually sad to see them go. My Mum and Dad lived off nearby Stonebridge Lane and they were mates with an elderly Liverpool FC supporter who lived in one of those blocks. She used to take our kids up to her flat when they were little - we're talking about 10 years ago. It was a novelty for them to look out of the window so high up. She'd always give them little Liverpool FC trinkets like an 80s Ian Rush or Ronnie Whelan badge or an old programme. I told her that she shouldn't and that they were probably worth a couple of bob, but she wouldn't have it.

    If I recall I think all the elderly residents have moved to new accommodation down Stonebridge Lane.
