We used to play there every Sunday night all through 1980 and 81 on the little stage including its Centenery night celebrations when boxer Joey Frost won the yard of ale contest. Errol Flynn lookalike Charlie who used to collect the glasses used to shout 'Hollywood' - that's when Knocker had it. It ended up being our most played pub.

Cheers cp.. glad you like the shot..

All my family bevvied in The Throstles cp.. some still do today that live opposite..
my Dad as well years ago.. being a born and bred Scottie Roader till he died..
I bevvied in there a lot myself, all the 'Lads' from years back were.. and still are, my mates..

(I played pool further down Scottie in my Mams pub The Pontack outside Gerard Gardens...
I took on their top boy in The Throstles on his territory and smacked his bottom...I did that
in most of the pubs up and down Scottie before getting barred out... for winning too many Christmas pool knockouts every year... The Pie Shop..The Australian.. Pat Molloys.. The Box House.. barred out them all..

all my mates now these lads, happy days, with great memories..)

I'll slip this one in for the 29th! This was the flying display team, the other week, during the river festival. (Did you take any Joe? The ferry would have been an ideal vantage point.)
