Nice thought proviking picture Colin. it really was a disgrace the way those houses were allowed to deteriorate like that ,especally considering their important location.
Congratualations on producing a really interesting book-The Streets of Liverpool, i have had it about a month now and i am constantly refrencing the locations of old streets to the 1928 pocket atlas and guide..i cant seem to put it down for more than a day at present.

IIRC those houses were owned by the cathederal. Was that true, or just a bad rumour?
