    Yes... just cost. The construction methods are usually different too. The Thunder Mustang is pre-moulded carbon fibre parts and sort of looks like a big Airfix model...

    The performance of the Thunder Mustang is also unusual due to it's V-12 engine. Most of the other replicas use converted V-6 or V-8 auto engines and have much less horsepower. Don't count the exhaust manifolds on each side, they all use 6 a side by adding fake ones to look right...
    Custom made in CA using some auto racing parts - de-tuned for aircraft use.
