Can you recognise this church?

Hi Brian,
The photo isn't dated but I guess it could be 1920s or 30s.
Not sure which church my great aunt went to, but she came from the Walton area.

Looking at the photo maybe the man could fit your description - he's a thick set man and looks like he has a ruddy complexion.

'In Liverpool we had our own fiery clergyman. The Rev H D Longbottom, who became Lord Mayor in 1950, was the first minister to hold the position.

He was an Alderman and Protestant representative for St Domingo ward. His wife was also a Liverpool councillor.' ( taken from this website -

Don't worry - that is one of the reasons for republishing - although it will be greatly expanded with much better photographs.
