    Default The Bowring Centenarian at Lime Street

    Managed to get a shot of this the other week. I'd never seen a working Steam Engine before - the noise was deafening.

    Great sight.

    No it was stationary when the pic was taken although I did get a video of it leaving on my camerahonef.

    There was four staff altogether and the one standing so close was one of the firemen I think. It was pulling a ten coach train and was helped up the cutting by a Class 47.

    Compass Tours arrange days out by steam which start in the NW and end up at various locations around the UK like Lincoln, Bristol etc.
