Default After Slipping on Black Ice (CTG)

    After Slipping on Black Ice

    Feeling better?
    No dice.

    Pains when I walk,
    look like a dork,

    dragging one foot
    after the other,

    elegant
    as Quasimodo,

    feeling better
    than I ought to.

    Christopher T. George

    * Slipped and fell down the brick steps of my apartment building on the ice at 6:00 AM on Tuesday morning. Broke my distal fibula in my left leg. Will be in a soft cast and on crutches for the next two weeks or so.

Thanks, Oudeis. I suppose I could always post my x-rays. They're a riot.

You're not supposed to be so blind with patriotism that you can't face reality. Wrong is wrong, no matter who says it.

Thank you, pennylane, Lindy, and Mark. I have been having pain but realise the break could have been worse. The orthopedist yesterday did not think I needed an operation but that if I am careful, it will heal by itself.

Get well soon Chris, you are built like me, a lot of you to land heavily.
