Church street yesterday - buzzzzin' lar...

And the Williamson Square continental market, though with an Indian stall or two, perhaps it was a World market?

Ged, it's funny you should say that because my son came in from town yesterday and said it was heaving and dead busy. 'buzzin !'

I heard some Mancunians! Who needs the Trafford Centre eh?
I think it's great that people come here to see for themselves what it's like.

I was in town with my mum the other day and I commented that I'd never seen so many people taking photos. There seemed to be cameras everywhere. So much for this thing about not being able to photograph things - everyone was doing it!

that's the beauty of being in town, we can pretend to be tourists . it's the burbs where I tend to get most odd looks...as well as when I'm photographing

I think I shall have to build a time machine to take pics of Liverpool In the past when there was more classy architecture not getting smashed down.

Before the 70s/80s, there looked like there was cool stuff to photograph like In Chambre Hardman's stuff.

Church street was fabulous then, I remember it well...I wish I could walk into that photograph, turn left down Tarleton street and walk into Hobbies Toy and Model shop....Then go and have a "ride" on the escalators in Lewis's...The only store in town who had them I believe and such a novelty to an 8 year old. Great and wonderful memories indeed.

Yes Klaatu. I remember Hobbies...I used to love going into that shop. It was great back then...I remember going into Lewis's as a kid and it seemed massive - like Macy's or Harrod's or something
