I didnt know the Tunnel entrance Liverpool side lighting column had been smashed up, it beggars belief that doesnt it, I always thought the one in Birkenhead was the one from Liverpool resited to there, now I know the real facts thanks to your post . Ta !
Shame on me for not knowing that cos as you know I have an official Souvenir book from the opening....time for me to get reading it eh ! .

I can see how the placement wasn't the best but trashing the column is just
More descecration by people with no sense of historical importance, that column could be a feature of the new museum plateau.
My grandmother Catherine Williams of Tarlton Terrace off Robsart St.(one of those tiny courts) was invited to the opening ceremony the original engraved invitation is in the family stash of stuff somewhere in a loft.I know people like the Bristows from Great Homer St and the Edwards' from the grocery shop on Great Homer St were also invited and walked through on the opening day.

Next album to be added will be of my unpublished Toxteth riots photos..
'One Night In Toxteth'.... I'm working on the photos and they should be online in a day or two...
my apologies to those that left comments on the guestbook...
I've deleted the guestbook as the snidey comments from cowards hiding behind daft names started.. it didn't take them long, shame there's not a man amongst them I could reply to name to name..

Threshold Baltic Triangle music fest weekend Friday 10th - Sunday 12th Feb 2012..

I had the press/media pass to access all areas and all events for this festival...
I should have been out at all the venues around the town..
I ended up bladdered with Franny Carlyle on Mathew St at god knows what hour last night..(Sat)
just the two of us... rather sloshed, it was gear...
That was that then... no Sunday Threshold music fest for me...
Dont forget.. vote Carlyle for Mayor of Liverpool...

    A few from the Saturday...
