    I wonder what is different in the lenses used. In your present day shot Joe the left wall of the pub seems to be sloped. [I presume that it is a pub ]

    Converging verticals,Oudies,caused by the lampost the camera was leant against with it being dark.Possibly the city engeneers u.sed a plate camera with a rising front

    Jamie Oliver's restaurant, Paradise st.

    I took the photo side on - there were people seated near by the window and they were looking out. It would have been rude to take photos of diners

    I'd love to say the John Lennon monument is growing on me but I still have ambivalent feelings. It's at least interesting.
