I feel it's appalling that one of the most important 19th C women in England, Josephine Butler, who lived on Park Rd, Dingle, Toxteth is not commemorated by Liverpool.

I used to work in that building IIRC there is a wall plaque dedicated to the wife of Rev. Johnston on the first half landing. He put up the money so that she could be remembered.

    I agree.

Considering that Liverpool has had many Important people there sure are a lack of blue plaques but they only used to ever put these plaques up In London.

It was a few years ago when they put these plaques up outside of London.

Only got the Lennon Plaque though. ScouserDave's pictorial has a page with more blue plaques but his sites not working and he's dissapeared.

I want a blue plaque on my house or a red one since I'm a scouser, scouse plaques should be red.

Don't know why they wait until your dead though to put one up.

Harrison's plaque In Arnold Grove kept getting taken down.

Theres one by the Green Bank Gym I lift Weights at too on Greenbank Lane but not sure whether It's In the Student Land.

It's William and Eleanor Rathbone's plaque.

William Rathbone (Liverpool merchant and champion of nursing reforms) and Eleanor Rathbone MP (feminist and social reformer).
Plaque at: Greenbank House, Greenbank Lane, Liverpool, L17.

Could we have pics of the complete buildings please, as well as the plaques?
The pics of the plaques are nice, but it would be great to see exactly where these people lived.
I'll take one of Ullet Road tomorrow.
