    NORTON FOR SCRAP ..........IS UP FOR SALE



    Got the signs up,won't be long probabaly before it's sold!

    Expect a new high rise block to match that on the opposite corner of Parliament Street!!!!

    Can anyone nick me the NORTON FOR CRAP signs? They'll be worth a fortune

    It's funny how names like that stick. I once gave my mate directions and told him by the Norton for Scrap' place - he even said 'oh is that by the Norton for Crap sign!

    The original signs on the wall may already have been taken off??
    The new advertising for sale sign is over the same area so you cant see NORTON FOR SCRAP.
    I remember seeing the picture someone took of the original sign to make it look like NORTON FOR CRAP,i think it was in the echo,someone must have a copy somewhere

    Gutted that it's gone. I loved driving past and stopping so the s would be blocked off!!
    Went to get a picture the other day, so thanks for this one!!
    Always a good sign to talk about to see how many people knew about it.....

    This site used to be The African Oil Mills owned by the C.W.S.
    My dad used to work there, would anyone have a photo of this factory.
