Thanks, Ged. There's a 1930s view of the Throstles Nest pub on Flickr. Interesting to see the different look to the outside of the pub back then.

Wow. That's some wide angled lens innit. Tripod jobby as well was it. All my night shots are blurred

Cracking shot. Love the colours and the windows of the old railway hotel. The blue tint from the screen and the Adelphi sign is so clear.

No tripod? Try a little bean-bag, Ged.

A bean bag, i'm not carrying that around with me - how little. People won't think i'm a down and out will they, looking for a doorway along Limey?

Thank you! I don't use tripod, just leaned my back against the wall.

Bean bags,Resting back against wall sometimes there you can't do this.

The only solution is a Monopod, easy to carry around and its lightweight.

You can put a little bean bag in your pocket but thee can't do the same with a monopod.

Sometimes setting a short delay (2 seconds or so) and holding your breath will work.

This way the movement of the camera doesn't affect the shot when you press the button....
