    Default Old Liverpool streets

    Hi.there are so many streets being pulled down.its hard to find where they lived as the streets are no longer there.what we need is an old street names database.where we can see where are long gone rely's lived.Ted

    I have a few Liverpool Daily Post & Echo Street directories for various years which I can do look ups in

    As hinted at before many of the records from before 1916 were stored in Dublin Post Office - and were destroyed by accident in the Easter Uprising of 1916 - when the Post Office found itself a target and was damaged.

    I found out however that there were still remnants of the regional records in both Cork and Belfast - which had some government responsibilities at the time - which was helpful as that was where my rellys came from !

    You will have a lot of trouble and may even get nowhere beyond 1916 if your people come from the Dublin region....
