now I have extra zoom a better view of the other old Watson *****ard sign

    Oakes St (Liverpool Clothing Factory)

    Pembroke Place

Church St - I mentioned a few weeks back about the old Woolies sign that used to be on the side of their original Church St store. I thought it had completed faded, but this evening the sun just caught the building enough for it to been seen. I can't remember exactly the phrase, it was summat like 2 penny stores.

    It's "Woolworths. 3d & 6d Stores."
Just legible 25 years ago when I snapped it.
(Because the building housed the Tatler cinema.)

    Great photos, qg.

Thanks for all these photos. It's amazing to see some of the signs still exist.

Vrey nice indeed, but that sign looks a bit sus to me.
It's been repainted recently, that's obvious.
Mind you, if they're still in business, they would say "Why not?".

    I love this, qg.
    Very art-deco.
It was a hairdresser with the wonderful name of Pasquale Famiglietta.
    (16 Bridge Road).
