    Default Mummy's Hummingbird (CTG)

    Mummy's Hummingbird

    Iridescent green,
    rising to spike of pine,
    needle-beak sucks sap.

    I see hummer. . . but
you don't see me; I whisper
    and stroke your hand,

    remember ruby-
    throat visiting our old
    fuschia basket.

Hummingbirds - once seen, never forgotten.

    Very nice Chris.
