Oh I am soooo pleased !, it worked ....
The first photo is my Nan Sarah Ann Williams holding her brother Robert (yes he has a dress on !), and her sister Margaret taken around 1909, next is my Greatgrandmother Jane Cobain probably taken around the same time !, then my Nan Margaret Elizabeth Jones taken I think on her wedding day in 1914, then my Mum Dora taken in St Cleopas in 1935, then my Dad Jack in his youngest exsisting photo in the 30's, and finally Dad at sea somewhere cold in the 40;s....hope you like them !

Lovely. What part of Ireland is your Great Grandmother from? Kurt Cobain's fathers family was from County Tyrone!

Your father seems quite relaxed, perhaps they were on their way south and things were getting warmer.

Thanks !, Well Ronni !, here's the thing we think that we are related (very distantly) to Kurt Cobain !, although Jane's father John was from Larne County Antrim, a distant cousin I have met has done extensive research and thinks there is a connection....

He does seems very "chilled" !, I only found the picture after both my parents had died so I do not have a clue where it was taken, he did go around the world though so yes you could be right and he was on his way south !

My Nan always spoke about babies being "shortened" which meant coming out of long dress/nightie type clothes !, she was still asking in the 1980's !, bless
