Found these cards, with no info' on them,so I can't say which area, town or city, they are from, but good examples of the day's when "playing out" meant using your imagination, and little else!(no x-boxes then!)

Earth is the insane asylum for the universe.
OK, someone should recognize the location of pic #3 - there can't be many walls at a sharp corner looking like that in Liverpool...![]()

You Can Lead a Horse To Water But You Cant Make Him Drink
Simple pleasures exactly.
Off ground tick, british bulldogs, hopscotch, two ball, gutters (kerbies), allalio, skipping, hide n' seek, nearest the wall (with coins), bursting tar bubbles (especially 1976), s.p.o.t. & 60 seconds (football games) - (the older posters will remember a lot more that phased out before we were kids no doubt) A mixture of things to do for both girls and boys there.
Not only was it exercise but it was problem solving and face to face interaction and meeting new friends. How many only do this down a computer line these days.
i thought that aswell
"If you don't move your head the othe guy will move it for you" - Cus D'Amato
the best pleasure was popping tar bubbles with aly ice stick on a hot summer day

I remember making "rafts" out ofly ice sticks,to sail in any water we could find! It's a long time since I saw any girls skipping, with those "ropes" made out of plaited rubber bands, and singing those rhythmic songs, which they reckon, were the beginning of Rap music!!

Now that is a simple pleasure![]()
