I'm sure they'd put an appeal out or have you on if you wanted to mention you were working on the definitive book, Vincent Burke whom they use now and then might have some contact info too.

Thanks DaisyChains. You can tell by the umbrellas (and the wet paving) that it was a rainy day!

I'm assuming that is the Marshall Cavendish edition from 1990 (number 25)? Yes, that is an excellent publication. The photos are great. If I am right it states in that publication that Julia attended the Catholic Holy Trinity Church. The church is (and always has been) C of E, but great edition nonetheless.

Hi DaisyChains
Glad you managed to get it. It really is a great publication. The photo of Richard Gordon Parry is excellent too. He went to Lister Drive school (I went there too in the 1970's). There is a photo in Wilkes' book (which I think you have a copy of). Parry is pictured on the stage for a school play (with Lily Lloyd). I remember standing on that stage! John Parkes also went to Lister Drive. Unfortunately the school burned down (In about the last four years). I took some photos of the exterior of the school in 2001.

Yes, I thought I would photograph it because I had the feeling that the school would end up being demolished. It seemed like it was falling into disrepair. Ended up being destroyed by arsonists though.
Yeah, I'm still working on the book thanks. In the library now researching some of it

Can't wait Mark - good luck with it.
