Dingle Paintings

I'm trying to find the artist who did these paintings and find out where they're located?

One painting is entitled "Riverside Dingle Bank Watercolour 1893" and and the other ""Riverside Dingle Bank Watercolour 1893" appeared in the back of the guide to the Liverpool International Garden Festival, 1984. Unfortunately, there are no references for the artist except to say that he/she was "to paint several scenes here." Both paintings look like they are of Dingle Bank.

The publisher of the guide was Brunswick Printing and Publishing Co. Ltd. but I'm not sure whether they're still in business?

You surmise that. There is nothing to say what they are pictures of.

Being a cataloguer can be a tedious job.

Ok under the pictures it does say Dingle this and Dingle that, but still.

One of the paintings actually says "Dingle Bank" The paintings are used in the "Origins and Background" section of the International Garden Festival Guide. Part of the festival site was on "The Cazzie" The old cast iron shore, and part of it was on the Dingle - a tree lined glen that went down to the Mersey. This has been covered on the Dingle Glen in Old Photos thread.

The catalogue below represents the Watercolour Paintings by Florence M. Willink [Originals Remain in Family Possession].

These documents are held at National Museums Liverpool, Maritime Archives and Library I've highlighted [in Red] the 2nd Dingle painting [in the OP] showing the lodge, which I believe is the entry below. I'll upload the rest of the paintings once I've photographed/ copied them from the MMM.

Oh yikes, I am a geek, I am still following this trail Daz, I found this, nothing to do with the paintings but sounds such a lovely description....

His landlady Mrs Blodget, with whom he lodged in 1853 and in the winter of 1855–6, lived at 153 (formerly 133) Duke St. Mrs Harriet Beecher Stowe came on a visit in 1853 and stayed with Mr Cropper, a brother‐in‐law of Matthew Arnold, at Dingle Bank—‘a beautiful little retreat on the banks of the Mersey’
