Does Liverpool really have more Georgian buildings than Bath?

Many of the fireplaces at No. 10 were boarded up.
The building without doubt is Georgian but dates to the 1600s. Yet in the 1950s they were contemplating demolition. The place was subsiding. It cost a lot to underpin the building and renovate.

I'm sure there's an extended metaphor waiting to surface here: something about fires being allowed to go out, values being undermined, underpinning not being sufficient to prevent total collapse, etc., etc.,

Good Luck Colin. I've attempted to dispel some of the more outrageous myths about Liverpool but you seem to have opening a bigger can of worms than my puny tin-opener can handle.

I've always been suspicious of Liverpools 'claims'. Too much of Liverpools 'history' is based on 'Liverpool History'.
