Yeah that's the one Ged....I may well have been one of those scrawny kids in that photo! I remember the teacher ( Mr. Coleclough ) He had a fearsome collection of canes all of which he used quite freely!
The School was great though! Summers in the playground with the smell of strawberry Jam wafting over from Hartleys mixed with the smell of rubber from the Dunlop factory off Stalamine Road...Great!

Mark Hindle was AKA Charlie. Lol,and it's not Joanne McVey it's Chris. Is that Jenette Deno on the end in the front right ?

I went to Farnworth Grammar. Its in Farnworth, Bolton and was closed and flattened in the 80s at the Tories command (an elite class within the Working class? hmmm)

A faint and admittedly tedious link - It was also the School that taught Alan Ball and Kenneth Wolstenholme (A lifelong Bolton Wanderers fan). Who'd have thought they'd come together a few years later as they did..........and they thought it was all over?

Alans family lived in the street behind where I used to live, and Kenneth was from Walkden, a few minutes away.

    Just nostalgia for you

Belter pics them Linda. I'd love to see a few pics of the wooden huts we had.
It's changed a lot since those pics.
You must of been leaving Ranny when I started. You where probably in my brothers year.
Ta for them. Very good (don't stop there).

One of those pics above (pic 5) was taken in the court yard. It was the only place with a bit of grass on. Sometimes in the summer, if you where lucky, you'd get to have a few hours in the sun doing school work. It was a big treat and made our day.
