Which reminds me. A bloke in our office often tells the girls his name is Dick, followed by 'Do you like it?'
For all some of you guys say about Cilla, anyone who started off in Clarksons buckskin boots and ended up wearing the hoi paloi has to be admired.
She went where the road took her and it changed her life.
Cilla is well liked the world over and Liverpool and Scottie Road should be proud of her.
The cynicism about her returning to Liverpool is a bit cruel. When you leave for places far away and you've got scouse in you, you feel it. It pulls you back. It's in your bones...............anyone who had a heart........
Yep, she returned to open a bridge over the canal in Vauxhall a few years back. I'm bemused at people who s,lag the Beatles, Cilla or Tarby off just for still not living in a terraced house in Tuebrook with a coal fire and last nights echo for bog roll as though they had no right to move on. Some ordinary folk emigrate for a better life - enough said.
