Kev, Pabs has almost overtaken you in posts on Yo. Does that mean he takes control once he does?

    Excellent pics Kev.

I suppose 'London Road' was the main overland thoroughfare to Liverpool back in the day, and would of received a lot of travelling custom?

In the old days, the coaches to London used to go up London Road. They used big cart horses to get out of the city. When they got pu to the old Coach and Horses pub, by Hall Lane, they were changed for the regular horses. The Coach and Horses close da sa pub a while ago and is now a business premise.

I had a boyfriend who`s dad was landlord of the Coach and Horses Pub , Low Hill. Back in the 70s, One of the landlords there many many years ago, hung himself in the cellar. I used to stay there quite often, there is alot of history associated with this pub.

It's been a coaching inn for a very long time. I only ever had one pint in there. Shame it's still not a pub.

Yes its some sort of office now, such a shame, but like everything else. Things change, but I still look back with nostalgia.
