    Default Foundation Stones

    Thought I'd put this in a new thread as it's slightly different from all the others.

    Basically photo's of foundation stones that display more than just the date of the building.

    I've started with St Barnies:

    That's a good idea, Jona.
    I know you've already posted a photo of St B's, but can we have the complete building as well as the foundation stone in this thread?
    I'll start snapping.

    And very slightly off the original theme but still connected with St Barnie's are pictures I've taken from the top of the tower:

    a: View towards All Hallows Church
    b: View towards Mossley Hill
    c: View towards the waterfront

    Attached is a photo of the foundation stone to Gerard Gardens, taken from the 1938 film Homes for Workers. This is included in the 1930's section of my film Gardens of Stone, extract of Homes for Workers attached;

    Nice photo Kev. Nice to see the name Toxteth proudly displayed. Don't the locals think this area is in Aigburth though

    It's opposite McDonalds at the Ullet Road end of Aigburth Road.

    I'd much rather say that McDonalds is opposite the former Toxteth Institute.

    For you ex-Pats, McDonalds was built on the site of Parkfield Motors.
