    Default Columbus Quay Development

According to the hoardings, this development is to become apartments. This is very close to the old Herculaneum/Harrington dock entrance gate.

Developers have decided to call it Columbus Quay, though I think it's nearer to Harrington Dock than anywhere else. The Tower Crane must have been installed only recently. It's the development linked to in scouserdaves' post above.

    Default Company gone bust?

I heard the company behind this development had gone bust and were behind 2 or 3 projects which have now halted. Does anyone have confirmation of this?

If the jib doesn't swing around with the wind when not in use, the whole crane would get blown over.

If you get down town before or afer work, you can tell which way the wind is blowing from looking at the cranes.
