    Raymond Arthur "Ray" Quinn (born 25 August 1988)

    Known previously for his role as teenager Anthony Murray in the Channel 4 soap opera Brookside where he picked up several awards for a storyline which involved him killing a teenage girl who had been bullying him. (Wikipedia)

    Must admit that I didn't think much of him at first .. but I've warmed to him now. I'm getting caught up with the excitement - when he gets through each week my son punches the air ''YES !!'' ( another day for a fellow Scouser !)
    So I got drawn in to all the hype

    It's true that all the mums and grannies love him. aahh, he needs mothering ! Ha,ha!

    The lad was an amazing actor and he deserves the recognition he's getting,I often wondered what happened to him after Brookie because he was so talented,I hope he has the great career he deserves.

    but i thought the point of x factor was to become a 'pop' star, and sell albums.
    If he wanted to be a west end star, he should have just stuck to musical theatre
