Default White Out - Days Go By (CTG)

White Out - Days Go By

Two weeks ago: whiteout here in Baltimore
hunker down in bed with reheated chow mein
    and bags of crispy noodles.

But now, warmer: folks have dug out,
icebergs black with leaves and muck.

    Finally, I can reach
    Mother's nursing home,
    push her wheelchair
    past flows of frozen runoff.

The days go by: "Today is. . .
    The season is. . .
    The weather is. . .
The next holiday is. . .
    "

    Good work Chris,

We moan about the weather here, without good cause.

Thanks, Daz. We are actually very lucky here in Maryland with the weather, escaping some of the extremes seen by other parts of the US. Usually in the winter we don't get much snow but this year has been more severe. It's a running joke that people from Buffalo in upstate New York or Chicago, say, are astonished that Maryland and D.C. become paralyzed when we receive a few inches of snow, which are nothing to them.
