The Barracks was an area of poor housing behind the West Derby Courthouse. These tenements were demolished in the 1930s.
Thanks for that, Cad' and Ron! Not really the type of housing you would associate, with that part of West Derby
The most noticeable thing about these old street scenes is the number of children to be seen. That is one aspect of the so-called good old days that I wish to see again.
Hope the ladies don't come down too heavily on that remark.
