    The Barracks was an area of poor housing behind the West Derby Courthouse. These tenements were demolished in the 1930s.

    The Barracks were located between Almonds Green & Haymans Green , It is suggested they were once occupied by troops & were ordered to be demolished in 1934 . Ron

    The most noticeable thing about these old street scenes is the number of children to be seen. That is one aspect of the so-called good old days that I wish to see again.

    Hope the ladies don't come down too heavily on that remark.
